Privacy Policy
Taylo helps African fashion designers run online stores and create AI photoshoots. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Taylo ("we", "us") operates the Taylo website and apps, including designer dashboards, public storefronts and the AI Studio. For privacy questions, contact support@taylo.shop.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and authentication details when you sign up or log in.
- Store content: store name, address-style details, products, prices, descriptions and the images you upload.
- AI Studio content: design images, prompts and the photos generated from them.
- Order information: when a shopper places an order on a store, we process their name, contact details, delivery details and the items ordered, on behalf of the store.
- Usage and device data: basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and working.
2a. Google Sign-In and Google user data
You can sign up or log in to Taylo with your Google account. When you do, Google shares only your name, email address and profile picture with us (the basic "openid", "email" and "profile" scopes). We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google service.
- How we use it: only to create and authenticate your Taylo account, show your name in the dashboard, and send service emails to your address.
- Sharing: we do not sell, rent or share Google user data with third parties, apart from the service providers in section 6 that run authentication and storage on our behalf.
- No advertising or AI training: we do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
- Storage and deletion: this data is stored securely in our authentication database. You can delete your account and this data at any time by emailing support@taylo.shop, or revoke Taylo's access in your Google Account permissions.
Taylo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain and improve Taylo, including hosting stores and generating photoshoots.
- To pass orders from shoppers to the store owner and keep both informed of order status.
- To send service emails such as welcome messages and order updates. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
- To manage AI credits, prevent abuse and keep the platform secure.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Store owners and shoppers
When a shopper places an order, the store owner receives that shopper's order details and is responsible for using them to fulfil the order. Taylo acts as a service provider for that data. Shoppers should contact the store directly about their order.
5. Photos and AI generation
Images you upload and photos we generate are stored privately in your account by default. A photo only becomes public if you choose to make it public (for example in the gallery or on your store). Private photos are only accessible to you.
To generate photoshoots, your design image and prompt are sent to our AI providers (currently Google Gemini, or the Lovable AI Gateway). We do not use your content to advertise to you, and we ask providers to process it only to return a result.
6. Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run Taylo, and only what they need:
- Backend hosting, database, authentication and file storage (Supabase / Lovable).
- AI image generation (Google Gemini, Lovable AI Gateway).
- Transactional email delivery (Resend).
We do not sell your personal information.
7. Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as light or dark theme. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
8. Retention
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete content or your account, we remove it from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
9. Security
We use access controls, private storage and encrypted connections to protect your data. No online service is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique account password.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@taylo.shop.
11. Children
Taylo is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
12. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
